im 22, i lived my life controlled by my mother and physically and psychologically abused by my father. as a kid i remember being so giggly and being a social butterfly, as i grew up i don't remember the last time i had a genuine friend. even despite having a strong degree forced against my will by my mother, which apparently guarantees a future, i still don't see it. this is my 6th year on antidepressants, i don't see myself doing better than i was 6 years ago, I've lost so much hair due to alopecia, stress, depression... it's hard to say i can see any bright future in the horizon, i don't see a career i enjoy, i don't see a good friendship, i don't see someone loving me ever, and i don't see my father changing. there's nothing for me to look up for, to stay for. for years now I've been going with life's flow, day by day, everyday hoping today something happens to me and i die mid crossing the street, because im too scared to do it myself. but not anymore, I've made up my mind, no pain is worse than the pain life has given me, it'll be a few moments and it'll pass. im tired, im so tired. im tired of lying to myself and saying it will get better, im tired of faking a smile so i don't worry the people around me, im tired of just existing. the only person i worry about when im gone is my brother, I don't care about my parents, but oh my little brother, i have tried to stay for him for so long, i just figured i couldnt anymore, for once in my pathetic life i needed to be selfish, he will get over it eventually, grow up and forget about me. i have set my mind on how im going to do it, hopefully listen to this while i drift peacefully. please do not convince me to stay, i have heard the words, i know them, my mind is already set. please everyone enjoy your lives, look out for the people around you, that one person in your class who doesn't speak, the crying stranger on the street, the lonely person in the park, they may need a friend to talk to, something i never had. perhaps you'll be the reason they don't take the same path i took.
